A special visit

News intro:

"We interupt the current programme since news have reached us that Xelhan delegates are going to visit Vintelle! Andre will have more info in this. Andre?"

The image cuts to Andre.
"Yes Lucie, we are being told that Xelhan delegates will soon arrive in Vintelle, where they'll be greeted by the Regent,  Sire Valons and his exelency Deproleme the foreign minister."

The cameraman lowered the camera as Andre turned back looking towards the airstrip. It was a rainy day as precipitation seemed to be dominating Vintelle this day. Amidst this humidity a row of Chevaliers stood in a disciplined line, in their beautiful uniforms cornered by officers in brigth colours.

A series of flags flew proudly in the sky showing the colours of the Holy Empire and the flag of its realms which were on smaller. The only other flag to stand as tall as the Holy Imperial one was the Xelhan flag which was just being raised with full honours by a group of Chevalier.

Speaking of which , these same chevalier quickly rushed to roll the carpet, following the carpet stood two men in suits, hiding under the shadow of an umbrella carried by an officer.

Felix was busy fondling his glasses attempting to clear off the water ,Albert looked at the grey sky patiently "So eh....getting them to bed with us."  Felix didn't respond too busy meanwhile an officer arrived beside them both followed by an interpret.

"We are prepared to start the ceremony at any mine your excelencies." The officer as he spoke tilted his head towards the interpreter. "Her name is Margo Lafriend, she's a recent graduate from the lingustic course." Felix and Albert turned towards Margo and kissed her hand

"A pleasure ma'am" Albert gave a small smile "I hope that you'll fit in well with the Xelhans" Margot was somewhat timid, in the sigth of these powerful men.

"i hope i will..My father was one of them afterall."

"Ah that explains the eyes" Felix nodded before turning back again gazing at the sky "Come on... I'm not going to stand in the middle of the fucking rain for eternity." Albert just chuckled

"Well a pleasure to have you aboard."

Lina Oerstead was looking out the window at the dreary weather as she arrived in Vintelle. A sigh escaped her lips "Even the heavens weep for me being here..." The Trade and Commerce Minister had seen her fair share of Vintellians, which is why she had been chosen to go. Yet it was that very experience as to why she wasn't all that fond of dealing with them. Their pom, and they had that in buckets, was a far cry from the more casual Xelhan fare. As the plane was put up on blocks she could see the carpet and umbrellas that lined it. One final sigh as she took in a deep breath. Of course they wouldn't cancel....

She patted herself down as she made her way to the plane door. Making sure nothing was out of place and her Xelha Blue Dress was well pressed and not too wrinkled from staying seated for the flight. She carried a small briefcase with paperwork that had been done up for the meeting to cover most things that may be discussed.

As the door opened, a flight attendant handed her an umbrella with the Xelha flag design on it. "Welcome to Vinette, hope you enjoy your stay."

"I'm sure I will," she responded quietly before stepping out to wave to the cameras and make her way toward the red carpet.

As she stepped out advacing towards the carpet, the officers began to shout orders which was followed by the Chevalier's raising their swords and a gun salute that was done by an artillery piece, the anthem of Xelha began to play. The officer beside Felix and Albert advanced giving Line a salute, Albert followed the officer opening his arms smiling, he started to mutter Vaherian words to Lina. Then Margo rushed to Albert sides

"It is a pleasure to meet you ma'am, we are sorry that the weather is incovenient today, normally it should be warm and hot especially during this season." Margo looked to Albert , he spoke once gazing at margo with a warm smile. "His Excelency would like to know how he is supossed to greet you, normally he would kiss your hand but he feels that it is better to ask, knowing the advice that was given to him by the Esdragonian embassador to Xelha."

Felix was more quiet then Albert , he looked at Lina give a faint smile before moving beside the officer . "Are the escort ready " he whispered to the officer.

"Yes your excellency they are."

"Good , i would prefer to move out as soon as possible. Standing here in the rain isn't fun. Plus Tommy is probably impatiantly waiting."

Lina offered a small smile, "Well it is customs according to the host nation. A kiss on the hand is acceptable in these circumstances. If you were in Xelha, the ambassador likely would advise you a polite bow would be sufficient."

She offered her hand which probably has the faint smell of lemon from the hand sanitizer used after she ate on her flight.

"And make no apologies over the weather. Nature is a fickle mistress that none can control."

Margo translated back to Albert leading to him grabbing Lina hand and kissing it before stepping back. Felix then turned toward Lina giving nod before giving the sign of an hand to come, and an aide appeared with a bottle of wine. Giving it to Felix, he then spoke in a broken Xelhan . "Welcome to the Holy empire." before returning to his mother tongue

Margo inhaled "Sire Valon would like to offer this bottle of vintage as a gift for your arrival" She was suddenly stopped as the Anthem changed to the Esdragonian anthem, Margo took off once more after the brief interuption. "He hopes that the discussing will go well and that you'll enjoy your stay here." Felix advanced taking Lina's hand and kissing it.

Lina chuckled, "I do speak Esdragonian if it would make things more streamline and comfortable. I have had to speak with your ambassador among others on a few occasions, and getting good business deals starts with making the other party feel more comfortable is it not?"

"Thank you for the bottle of wine. The gift is much appreciated," she said as she crossed her legs to give a small informal curtsy. "I do hope these meetings will indeed be fruitful for both our nations."

Margo,Felix ,the officer and Albert seemed quite surprised. "I didn't expect that lovely surprise." Felix replied, "It is surely aprecciated, but if you ever feel the need to use interpreters its fine.Anyway Margo is an expert on your culture so its appropriate that she'll guide you around, since we're going for a little trip. Aren't we Albert?"

"Yes indeed we are, two escorts are ready, ma'am. So we'll be able to leave the atrocious weather."Albert glanced at Margo

"oh oh ...uh yeah it is expected that to arrive to the palace we'll go through some of Vintelle's most iconic streets, don't worry about the length milady, its normally going to be fast."

"Paul." Felix pointed to the officer "and Margo will accompany, inside you're escort. You may ask them any questions" Paul advanced giving a simple nod.

"So shall we head out your excelencies and my ladies?" Paul was looking impatient

"I will remember they are present if we run into difficulties communicating."

She grunted at the mention of the iconic streets but she simply shook her head and responded, "I'll be sure to ask any questions if they come up. Perhaps we can discuss thing during the tour that may pop into my mind as we go along."

Paul nodded once. "well follow me." And the group followed Paul through an airport which allowed the group to move out quickly away from the crowds. When they left the corridor two black cars were present. Felix and Albert were the first to move out towards the first car.

"My lady there is your escort." Paul advanced towards the second car opening the door, Margo entered first as Paul held the door open .

"thank you."

Lina followed entering the car, afterwards Paul entering himself closing the door and taking off his kepis. The interior of the car was comfortable with water distributors inside it. Margo was serving herself some water. The car started after they fitted their seat belts.

As car drove off away to the airports giving a show of the capital to Lina, as she was presented through the windowns rows of beautiful apartments, with mosaics on them with one of the largest one ,encouraging 'The merits of Motherhood! Women of the Holy Empire! Have kids to fullfil happiness.' This show of propaganda in the public continued a lot with pictures of the Holy Emperor and his son , gigantic paintings of the royal family and even pictures of Felix and Albert.

"to the happiness of mankind" Paul muttered as the car stopped in the middle of trafic, he pointed to a picture of Felix saying

'By following the core tenets of Fascism! You are working to the development , progress which will lead to the happiness of mankind.'

"I always liked these poster." Paul muttered before the picture was changed to that of an advert for new cars, Paul looked away. The car went entering a commercial street with large adverts praising the quality of Esdragonian products.

"Must be surprising to be bombarded from such an orgy of colour my lady?" Margo asked to Lina, "Our streets have a lot of decorations as you can see. Of course you'r seeing one of Esdragon's largest shopping center in front over there." She pointed to a large building made in 19th century ((Hausmanian)) architecture .

"Saint Yvain's square, lovely place, a great creation of our system leading to the employment of thousands of workers and is a sign of our healthy consumer industry" Paul intervened. "Some people if you were to listen to Rasian propaganda would tell you everything is depressing and sad in this country, which truth is a lie. Even in spite of the rain people are enjoying their lives and having a good time" Paul smiled

"Paul has a point, there is lots of cafes, even internet cafes for someone to browse and play games, restaurants and many enjoyable stuff."

Paul knocked at the drivers window "please Sebastien some music for us." The driver complied turning on the Radio which started to play a Vaherian synth pop song. "And its all not dull here even in terms of music." Margo and Paul had large friendly grins and looked towards Lina

Lina let slide a slight chuckle at the sight of the motherhood poster. She always had known Vaheria was one of those... 'have children' nations, but to see it in full display was comically bad. Or desperate.

In Xelha they simply approached it by offering incentives such as the Baby Box for first time mothers and some incentives for having a child. So they had a similar vein, albeit not as verbose and in your face about it. Subtle was clearly not a Vaherian strong suit. The lines of pictures and pointing out of the colours seemed to enforce this. That they liked to be center of attention and out in front.

"Well Old Ras is about being.. well... old. That's why they're still old and not new. They probably have a couple of abacus in their offices as they wait for our new techs to power fail or glitch. But that aside, it's good to see you're trying to make your people have a comfortable life. Internet especially would be a basic requirement for any deal considering the distance between our nations as pigeons are probably no longer a viable method of communication anymore."

The assault on her ears from the synthetic pop music gave her pause. Though with the internet and such, these types of music would probably have started to infiltrate the nation. Isolation could only get you so far and perhaps things were slightly changing here in Vaheria and they had moved on from pure marches for everything. At least... they hadn't discovered heavy metal yet. Though she much rather a natural singer voice, synth pop was most definitely preferred to that of heavy metal croaking.

"I see you're nation is finally diversifying its music portfolio," she said with a weak smile. "Though I guess his majesty isn't quite a fan to have his own group set up yet?"

Paul raised his shoulder,"well we always had a large amount of music genre in our holy empire, , the problem isn't music in itself, its the value they instill. Rap music that encourages murder, rape and thievery should be illegal. Rap music on the other hand, even if for my taste its savage like, that supports love, family values and kindness should be legal." Paul paused "Also i hope you'll see that we aren't as backward as some people would like to think, we host an healthy IT industry, a good medical technoclogy, and i think albei i could be wrong but we have achieved 95% internet coverage across the holy empire. "

"oh we're close, we're passing the Grandvin river, we're gonna enter the inner city, which is where the palace is."Margo intterupted suddenly pointing out as they were passing the bridge soon entering the inner city, which was riddled with beautiful buildings, large churchs, and many goverment buildings. "we're getting close to the palace." The infamous Theo's square which layed in front of the "cite du soleil" which was the palace where the General estate, the royal family and the ministers were located.

The palace had a large wall that was decorated with a tiny decorative moat which was filled with fountains that came out of face of angels incrusted inside the wall. Cherry trees and other exotic trees decorated the front of the wall. The car came in front of the "gate" or the fomer gate which had now being replaced by a simple guard post. They guard post opened the "gates" allowing the escorts in and saluting them. Lina had finnally entered the private grounds of city of the Sun. She was greeted by hordes of beautiful hedges, and decorative banners praising the fascist party , the church and the monarchy.

The escort stopped as they entered a parking lot which layed in front of a large mansion. "We shall proceed from here" Paul left first opening the door for Margo and Lina. Albert and Felix greeted Lina , Felix advanced towards Lina

"You'll wait for a while inside that mansion, since we'll be preparing the meeting room, we still need some attendants to fully arrive. Inside the mansion you'll be given refreshments if you want. Afterwards we'll show you to the political wing of the palace. Were we host our political meetings."

"Understandable," Lina remarked with a stifled grin. "It's unusual for you guys not to be fully ready, but I guess we can chalk it up to the weather."

"Light refreshments would be nice. Tea and biscuits if you have them. Don't want nothing too heavy to make one drowsy for the meeting or ruin one's appetite for a proper meal later. And I'd love to see the wings of the palace."

Lina was most happy she did wind up wearing low heels and not high heels like the original plan was.

"good" Felix nodded starting to sweat somewhat, Albert gave a smile to Lina before they all headed in.

She was greeted by a beautiful hall which was covered in golden decarations, bust and statuettes which were of former and current royals. Speaking of which paintings of former royals , such as that of Charles IV, and of fascist leaders such as Felix could be seen.

The hall had a large sitting room with a reception and it also had a fish tank with all sort of special fishes and animals, such as an octupus. Felix made a sign to some Servants who arrived holding a tray which had a tea and biscuits. It was layed down on the table , Albert moved beside Lina.

"We're going to leave you here, we'll be back. Margo and Paul will be coming with , so sigth there and make yourself comfortable." And they suddenly left Lina on her own. She was alone for a brief few minutes till a receptionist came to the reception, she was busy calling talking about a meeting, making her voice ring across the room. Some servants were rushing around the hall.

"Your excellency Oearsted!" A man said in clear Xelha, he wore a powdered wig and a old fashioned suit, he came up to her. Beside her was a dwarf dressed in somewaht mediavl attires which had the banners of Esdragon in him. The dwarf spoke first

"Its a pleasure my lady." He kissed Lina's hand, "I will show you to the meeting room." And he led her away from the hall. She was presented to a ball of mirrors, statuettes, banners and beautiful artforms the man in the wig took out a umbrella, as the dwarf led Lina once more to the exterior, she passed a well organized garden before once again coming inside. The hall that was presented was gigantic , and hollow with beautiful tables laid around it. "This is where you'll dine my lady. And soon we'll be passing by your quarters." They moved away from the hall there entered a corridor which had an elevator. They entered it going to the fifth flour, which led to a corridor which had many rooms. A man was passing by cleaning. "This is the guest erea, its where Diplomats, politicians and ministers sometime sleep. You're room is room twenty three my lady." The dwarf stopped, and the man in the wig opened the door of room twenty three. "You may decide not to sleep here if you want but i would recommend yo to sleep here ma'am." The room was comfortable, filled to Lina's need as the diplomatic corp red about public documents about her interest and style. "Time is pressing Ma'am we will talk more about the your room later. Now his holy majesty is awaiting." were on the move once again......

Passing a room where an orchestra was rehearsing

After passing the orchestra and another two halls. They finally arrived to their location."Sorry for the long trip ma'am, but this palace is quite large.I Hope i didn't cause you much trouble. Now before you enter don't forgot to curtsy to the Holy emperor and to the Holy prince also. Now good luck." The man in the wig opened the door, allowing Lina to enter the room.

The door closed behind her, a group of men were standing up beside a table, which had wine on it. she could see Felix and Albert, but also other faces. One man was wearing a suit , with the pin of the inquisition and had glasses on, it was Laurenco, the head to the inquisition. Then there sat one man, wearing a regalian uniform with rows of medals and his kepis was on the table, He was looking to her nodding his head. Then suddenly a man emerged, with two wigged servants behind him following, wearing a uniform. He was fat, and old and not in perfect shape, as he walked with his canes panting slowly. Albert raised a cup of wine. "I present to you Lady Oearsted, His holy Imperial Majesty Charles and his eldest son and heir Thomas! Long may they live!"

"Long may they live!" Felix and Lauranco shouted also.

"Oh no, the tour was just the right length," Lina chuckled as they reached the door. "Besides, if I'm staying here for a time, you can tell me where I can't go and I can go to the places that did pique my interests. After work is done of course."

As they entered the room she politely curtsied. "Pleasure to meet you Imperial Majesty. I'm honoured you are here to personally oversee this meeting." She stood back up fully erect before continuing, "Her Highness sends her warmest regards, and has hopes that this meeting will bear fruit that our two nations may move forward towards a brighter future."

After Lina spoke Charles sat down, followed by his son and the ministers. Servants rushed to Lina's specified seat where she made to sit down. Charles coughed before nodding.

"Tell her majesty that i also send my regards to her, and i hope for closer collaboration between our two monarchies and people. And i would like dearly to meet her." After Charles spoke silence dominated for ten seconds straigths before Thomas spoke .

"And i would like to follow in my father's wishes, and i also send my regards to her majesty. But now its the time for." Thomas paused . "I was told you could understand Vaherian, and it is a pleasure to hear you speak , i should thank you already for already making the negociations simpler." Thomas gave a small polite chuckle. "The goverment of his holy majesty would like to offer a trade deal with her majesty goverment. A trade deal which will involve the exportation of products from the holy empire, mainly in the Engineering field. The document we have written will hold more precise information." Thomas made a small sign from his hands and a servant rushed handing over copies of the documents to all attendees.

Thomas spoke once again. "now inside this draft of the possible trade deal, we would also like to work on the possibility of Esdragon opening its seas and air to Xelhan trade and access. As we feel this would help create an atmosphere of trust between our two nations. We could implement Xelha inside the STAE treaty which ensures that anything hailing from Xelha or that is of Xelhan origins, such as cargo ships will be allowed to freely enter our seaspace, airspace and even dock in ports and land inside our airports. And we are also thinking of more close collaboration in the fields of Space, since , his majesty goverment has expressed a keen appreciation for Xelhan technological expertise and its professionalism, and we feel that it would be a great thing, for the development of the human race and of our two nations to work together in such a field." Thomas looked to Albert

"Now this a draft, since we need you as the representative of the Xelhan goverment to approve. But if you think there anything you want to be added such as an expansion of trade deals, or closer cultural collaboration please let us know. We would appreciate such gesture. As we desire heavily a honest, and closer collaborations between our states."

inside the document was written a proposal for Esdragon to export its cars, Televisions, motors, tractors, ship parts, aircrafts to its civilian airfleet, Fashion products, cosmetics, iron , steel. All at a relatively cheap price. It also had a section discussing about possible technological collaboration in some fields mainly in Space travel and in engineerin, and another sections discussing about the opening of the airspace , sea space and ports and airports to Xelhan acces and also the allowance of a a Xelhan tourist company to set up in Alexandreville to increase tourism in the city.

"Of course," Lina nodded her head. She then took a more serious tone, "I will do my best given the circumstances of this visit, but please be reminded that even if I agree to conditions here, it is still required to go through the parliament and receive Her Majesty's Ascent before it becomes fully official."

She took a few more moments to look over the papers before putting them back down on the desk. "Xelha is a free market nation. We have no issues with you attempting to start up business in our nation or reaching out to our vendors to sell your merchandise. That said, the government will not interfere or give favours to your business enterprises as that would go against the spirit of merchantilism in Xelha and especially the entrepreneurs would all be up in arms to know we're giving special treatment to a foreign entity. My advice on this matter would be to initially partner with another company in Xelha to sell your goods so that you may get a better understanding of the markets in Xelha and have less overhead and therefore cheaper to test and adjust accordingly. Likewise, I'll float the idea of enterprising companies in Xelha to see if any are interested in gaining a foothold in the Esdragonian market, or selling their wares to your companies wholesale so you can sell them here."

"As for the Space Program, I'm sure the XSA (Xelha Space Agency) would welcome your funding and assistance with splitting the research. We don't do a whole lot of research due to monetary constraints, but splitting it between two nations will hopefully lead to more successful projects and missions. However, all must be kept above board and this is not to weaponize anything, but purely for space exploration and discovery. I say that because your track record with nuclear weapons is known and the Xelhan government doesn't wish to pursue nuclear weapons, nor does it wish to continuously develop weapons that would be used to strike Xelha or any other nation. If you want to delve into that type of technology, I'd suggest floating it past Novus Ballistics since that's their area of expertise as being a necessary evil of the times."

"On the matter of sea and trade access, we would like that. Xelha currently has a neutral port regulations. That is, any vessel is allowed in so long as it's not from a nation we are at war with and they have contacted the Maritime or Transport Department responsible for the traffic. Vessels will all be subject to the usual checks and procedures to physically land on Xelhan soil, and we suspect you will do the same of ours coming to you."

"no worries Madam , we understand, likewise for us. Such a deal will have to pass through the council and the general estate." Thomas took out a drink of water while the group looked at Lina, After she had spoken, Charles gave a small hint of surprise.

"It was to be expected that such issues would arrise in regards to trade." Charles said, slowly. "But the problem is under our fascist economic system and our belief in self suffiency. We are somewhat against the idea of importing or working with foreign corporations." Thomas started to sweat as his father spoke. Albert and Felix followed Thomas in the sweating but gave no expressions.

"We follows the principals of our ancestors, which goes in contrary to the ideals of capitalism." Charles coughed, followed by an eerely silence , as the mood in the room seemed to darken. Thomas was starting to open his mouth before being interrutpted by his father.

"But...my goverment, my people and the party from what i've gathered seemed onboard with a more pragmatic policy."

"So likewise,i trust in the capacities of my ministers and of the party to find a solution." Albert, Thomas and Felix seemed relieved as Laurenco looked on silently.

"Of course. Naturally such problems were expected to arise." Thomas gave a small smile. "But on the other hand, i'll trust we'll find a solution and we'll be able to cooperate as long we can respect each others systems. Which i trust we both shall be able to, Xelhan corporations have much to profit from colaborations with our firms and companies, and we can fully understand Xelha's need to keep these entrepreneurs happy. And it is pleasing to see this in a future partner."

Laurenco chimmed in "I would feel My lady Oerstead, that there is no need to worry about arms development." Laurenco paused allowing Albert to finish the sentence

"Of course, Esdragon understands that. And we would of course prefer to collaborate in the area of peaceful technologies. Particurlaly in space. This new frontier (Albert pointed his finger up) must be a place where humanity can work together and it is our firm belief that space should be demilitarised. And we hope in a hopefully near future, our two nations shall be able to send both men and women in space together."

Albert continued "in regards to the maritime and transport procedures. Yes we are completely fine with our vessels following the procedure."

Thomas then once againt spoke again. "Now in regards to the trade of goods. We would still like to invite the Xelhan state to take part in the setting up of such trade deals, in hope that it will be easier for us to handle the different systems. Since it would be fairer i feel if the Xelhan state could atleast act as an observant and it would increase the trust. Of course this is optional and we would not be expect you to get involved if that is your goverment's wishes."

"I see...." Lina said as she shifted her seating position.  "Well if you're interested in purely exploration of space I see no further need to discuss that aspect and can probably agree to that in principle."

She paused to think carefully on how to word her next sentence and started off very slowly, "Observing gives people this idea that we'll intervene.  Like regulation, but for another nation.  They would probably like it better if we simply brought items from you and sold it to them as a middleman.  That said, the Xelhan government does need raw materials, and importing them from you would reduce the need for us to mine and preserve our environment.  Textiles wise, if you wish to assist us with procuring uniforms in accordance to our templates we provide that would be a boon.  These uniforms would be for government workers and school children.  But again, we'll need to have them in designs already set for them and proper colour schemes.  And while your prices maybe cheap, the materials cannot afford to be too cheap, especially with the school uniforms because children are very active and we don't wish to cause parents undo costs because cheap materials keep breaking down."

She then added with a chuckle as she looked down at the sheet, "While the government ministers would love to have their own civilian aircraft, there is no space in the budget to afford such luxuries.  All ministers and even the queen herself travel on regular commercial aircraft.  Now the Queen's Grandmother is famous for flying her own craft, but that was given to her under extra-ordinary conditions and she strove to pay for her own lessons.  That said, if any person wishes to purchase civilian aircraft, I'll be sure to let them know that you're open for business."

"Heavy machinery is also welcome in Xelha, though again, you'd make much more selling to the farmers and the like.  While we do use some for things like park maintenance, we don't have our own say building firm.  We put those projects out to tender and companies bid on it.  Now, again, if you want us to act as a middle man and buy from you to turn around and sell to private companies in Xelha we can most likely arrange that, but the government itself has very little need for heavy machinery outside of like... fire trucks or military equipment."

"Though this brings up the matter you state of a tourist company.  Generally speaking, most Xelhans know if they want info, they can look up the embassy.  Likewise, if your locals want information on Xelha, they can look up the embassy website, or the government website for that matter.  While the government does provide funds for advertising, creating a whole operation would be beyond our scope and likely we'd have to delegate it to a third party to advertise Xelha in your country.  Now we could make them a quango ad have direct control over them, but they'd still be operating more or less as a private entity.  So not sure how well that would float in your eyes, but we're open to suggestions."

Thomas , Felix and Albert gave a small chuckle while Charles and Laurenco stayed quiet.

"Oh i'm sorry, for the civilian aircraft, this is Esdragonian standards. Mea culpa maxima . To our standards, we separate civilian as any aircraft that is not used for military purpose, and it meant to us commercial craft. Now of course this is some of the funny difference between our systems. But we understand, i mean i never came across my mind to separate define civilian." Thomas smiled "But yes that would be perfect for us if your goverment can act as the middle man, this system is very similar to ours in regards to our few importations. And from our point of view, its perfect. We can assure you that the products we offer are of good quality. We have maintained a massive industrial capitacity after all. We can offer lots of heavy machinery, but military equipment is out of bound. The General Estate will not allow any exportation of arms, unless the equipment is considered "Passed development"."

Laurenco nudged his glasses after Thomas stopped speaking. "I would like to mention that in regards to tourism inside Esdragon, we need to sign a deal between our two nations. Atleast to allow Xelhans in and perhaps later Esdragonians to Xelha. As per article 19 of the Laws of Esdragon." Laurenco took a piece of paper. "Under all circumstances, no foreign or alien individual shall enter this country without the special signature of a law pact, which would ensure that any foreign individual who acts outside our law shall be held accountable by our goverment, ranging in penalties of deportation to prison sentence. Without any pact of Law , no Xelhan tourist shall be easily allowed in if such a pact isn't signed, and as the head of the Inquisition it is my concern that Xelhan tourist or tour guides should be protected. As while this pact may seem harsh, it allows for more leeway and protection. For example a Xelhan national who is lets say in a relationship with someone below the age of 21 outside marriage shall be protected by the law and shall not be liable to prosecution according to Esdragonian laws.And thus shall be allowed to continue their travels safely"

She chuckled and thought to herself, "Oh yes, because any Xelhan dating an under 20 Esdragonian is inviting homicide, especially if its mama's little boy."

She took a minute to shake off her amusement before speaking, "Then I guess we have reached a tentative deal on the Esdragonian side. That is the Xelhan government will buy up some of your equipment to sell to the Xelhan private sector. You'll also provide us with a pact to allow Xelhans to freely travel in public spaces of Esdragon. Esdragonians are already allowed into Xelha albeit they require a travel visa which they can apply for either at our consulate here or the internet. You're also willing to assist with making some of the government employee and school uniforms. And we agree to some degree of cooperation in our space programs."

She took in a deep breath, "I think that is all that's covered. Anything else you'd like to add or that I missed?"

Laurenco raised his head "I just also wanna add, that we'd need also need documents on for any Esdragonian who apply's for tourist visas to Xelha or any visas in reality. Its just for bureaucratic purposes." and Thomas looked back towards Lina

"And of course we'd give you documents on how the applications will go since there is lots of bureaucratic things that will occur behind the scene." A Servant arrived with a piece of document on how Esdragon handles travels.

Inside was a large describtion of a system called the PASSEXT system which is meant to mean Passage Externe (External Passage) where one has to apply to the local party member for the rigth to ask for visas, and how there documents will need to be processed by the Esdragonian bureaucratic machine to prevent "Risky accidents"

Lina raised an eyebrow. "You want our paperwork on who applies for a visa? For what purposes? Couldn't you just check them on departure at security or the airline gate counter since realistically anyone traveling to Xelha would be on some form of visa."

She thought for a moment as she shifted in her position in her chair, "Xelhans aren't big on bureaucracy. We leave that to the Rasians. Anyone going out on international flights has to have their boarding passes and passports checked. Twice. Once by the airline agents and once by Xelhan Airport Security. After all, we wouldn't want anyone being stranded overseas having to sit for days at an airport whilst we try to locate or provide and alternative passport. We're not trying to bury ourselves in paperwork."

She then took the documents out of the folder and let out a low whistle as she read them. "If you're getting people to apply to party members for visas, shouldn't that make it easier to track? I mean sure there might be counterfeits, but at the same time maybe put an security mark on them, similar to how you'd put on money. That would make it easier to spot counterfeiters and we'd not have to bother our security with the burden of extra paperwork."

((OOC: IRL, every passenger plane travels with what is called the "PAX Decks". This contains a list of all the passengers on the aircraft and is required to be handed to the customs agents at the destination airport before anyone is let off the aircraft. An pre-boarding copy is sent to the airport of departure's customs and is then compared with the final departure Decks. A quick glance of this document should be able to inform Esdragon of any "illegals" going both to and from at least as far as Xelha is concerned.))

Thomas looked across, nodding side ways. "I think that could do?" Charles gave a blank stare at his son, before sighing

"I also think that this could work." He whole room rushed their heads toward Charles as he spoke.Before turning their head back.

Laurenco nodded , followed by Albert and Felix.

"Then it seems we're fine with you're proposed system" Thomas responded. "Anyway no need to fester on this subject. In either case we got our PASSEXT system insured." Thomas took a sip of water. "Then is there anything else you'd like to discuss...Or do you want to pull a Recess? So we can have each of us individual time to think and relax?"

"Perhaps a recess is in order," Lina nodded. "As well as some time to think I can call my Foreign Liaison counterpart and confirm on those immigration requests you have in mind. How long do you intend to recess for and am I able to take some of these papers with me?"

"Depends, normally the recess last one hour and a half. Anyway, you'll just have to give your phone number to one of the secretaries, they'll call you when its. So please relax , and take a stroll or eat."

"Thomas is rigth, relax you excellency Oarstead. There's a canteen for the politicians, and it serves delicious icecreams and cakes. And the coffee is sublime."

"Felix forgot to mention there's also lovely wine in there, and whiskey. But if i was you i wouldn't take it." Albert chuckled a bit "You woulnd't want to get tipsy on the job."

"So leave the documents here my lady, and if you need anything ask any servants around. I'll be in the canteen myself." Thomas was the first to head out the door, giving a nod to Lina. Felix rushed next to Thomas.
